リング A ring with Swarovski Crystals #5328 Red Topaz

１年ぶりくらいに自分のためのアクセサリーを作りました。
I made myself an accessory for the first time in around a year.

しっくりくるオレンジ色のシードビーズに出会えなくて完成しないままでしたが、小瓶に溜めていた余りビーズを使ってみたら、不揃いな色が逆に自然なつなぎ役になってくれました。
I tried using various seed beads in orange in a bottle of leftover. They works very well, I think.

Swarovski crystals: 4mm #5328, red topaz, x18
Czech glass beads: 3mm fire-polished, two-tone clear and metallic capri gold, x18

検査通院が続いていた時に励ましてくれた友人に、快気祝いとお礼のカードを贈りました。
とっておきのマーブルペーパーと、友情がテーマのスタンプセットを組み合わせました。
I gave presents and cards to two friends of mine who had encouraged me while I had got cancer check-ups.
I featured my best marbled paper and a friendship stamp set.

２枚作って、少しづつ柄の出方が違います。
I made a couple of cards. Every card has unique pattern and color.

カード A birthday card featuring GILDING FLAKES from CREATIVE EXPRESSIONS

文通を続けている小学校時代の恩師への誕生日カードを作りました。
I made a birthday card for a former teacher who had tought me at elementary school. We keep in touch via mail. Happy 87th birthday!

 

華やかにしたかったので本物の金でない金箔、ギルディングフレークを使用。この「コズミックシマー　サマーメドウ」は金に青緑とオレンジが混じっているのがきれいです。
I featured COSMIC SIMMER SUMMER MEADOW from CREATIVE EXPRESSIONS. I love this brilliance in gold, green and orange!

今回は、エンボスヒーターで温めると粘着力を持つ、レンジャー社の「スティッキーエンボスパウダー」で接着。粘着面に箔をしっかりまぶして押し付けて、余分を落とします。
I used STICKEY EMBOSSING POWDER from RANGER to apply flakes. I placed the flakes onto tacky image and patted down.

白い紙には消しゴムをかけると、余分な箔を削り取ると同時に煤のような金属粉汚れもある程度きれいになります。下半分が箔を払っただけの状態、上半分が消しゴムをかけた状態です。
I removed excess and revealed the detail using an eraser. It helps to rub out the soot stains as well.

年賀カードをもう１枚作りました。デザインと工程はたいへんシンプルですが、パール風に輝くピンクゴールドと紺色のエンボスパウダーの美しさを活かせたと思います。
I made one more new year's card. It's very simple but the embossing in rose gold and pearly navy stands out, I think.
